San Rafael, terroir with history

The wines of Bodegas Lavaque have the character of San Rafael, a terroir with two centuries of history.

The vineyards receive the pure water of the Diamante River, the breezes of a continental climate that marks, with the wide differences of temperature between day and night, the exact rhythm of maturation of the best fruit, which will then be harvested. There are 415 hectares at 800 meters above sea level of clay-sandy soils formed by alluvial sediments, rich in calcium and organic material.

With average rainfall of 190 mm from October to March, its climate is dry and the average temperature is 14.8 degrees. The planted varieties, which surround the winery in a majestic way, are Syrah, Chardonnay, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot, which - with all the care that is dedicated to them- will give rise to wines with pure identity of San Rafael.
