From a remote Lebanese origin, and with its roots as expert wine growers in Cafayate, the Lavaque family created Bodegas Lavaque in San Rafael, Mendoza, after their union with the Paolucci family, former founders of Bodegas Rodas.
Gilberto Lavaque, after his marriage to Malena Paolucci, established his name in that region, transforming himself into a pioneer in the elaboration of fine wines with the establishment of the brand in the south of Mendoza, acquiring his own vineyards and winery as of the 1970s
His son, Rodolfo F. Lavaque, gave continuity and new horizons to the winery, transforming it into one of the leaders of the Argentine market, and initiating the path of international exports. His business vision achieved high quality production, both in limited editions and in large-scale production, and at all price levels. Since the 1990s, Lavaque has fully adapted its styles of wine to a consumers looking for high-end wines, associated with a refined lifestyle, through technological, cultural and practical changes, and introducing new techniques and technologies both in the winery and in the vineyards. Thus, as Rodolfo originally conceived, wines were achieved for each type of consumer and for each occasion.
Today, the Lavaque family maintains the same passion to produce the best wines for Argentina and the world.
